Paige Kroupa Polor Plunge

Hi! I'm Paige. I am a Special Olympics athlete who has participated in the Polar Plunge for 8 years. This year, I'll be FREEZIN FOR A REASON again!!!

Before Special Olympics, I never thought that I could play sports of any kind. Now I play volleyball, bowling and golf.

Because of Special Olympics, I have accomplished things that I would never dreamed I could do. Those accomplishments gave me a level of confidence that I never had before.

As a member of Athlete Leadership, I have become a coach. In fact, I upped my game by becoming a Tier 2, and then a Tier 3 coach. A Tier 3 coach is the highest certification in Special Olympics. A Tier 3 coach is eligible to coach athletes at National and World Games. Through Athlete Leadership, I am also became a Global Messenger. The Global Messenger Training taught me how to write a speech and deliver It. I have spoken to groups like Knights of Columbus, Rotary and Kiwanis. The groups can be from 15 to 200 people. Organizations like these have helped support Special Olympics, both with donations and as volunteers. I am asking you to help support Special Olympics too.

This is a wonderful organization. It does amazing things for Intellectually Disabled children and adults. This is my 8th year doing the Polar Plunge. Please help me make my goal of $10,000.00. That was a very big deal and I was named the top athlete fundraiser in Florida for the third year.

I'm very proud of the dollars we've raised, but I am also proud of the number of supporters who have helped us year after year. And the number of supporters has grown each year.
