I'm Raquel Caramello, I'm 21, a cancer survivor, and a full time student living at USF St Pete.  And I have Down syndrome.  I've been a Special Athlete since 2012 and have participated in the Polar Plunge - FREEZING FOR A REASON - for the last 5 years!   I've been able to become a State Gold Medalist in Independent Equestrian and in Unified Cheerleading and Gymnastics.  I've also become part of the Athlete Leadership Council where I serve as an Ambassador to share with others about the great things Special Olympics has done in my life.   By raising funds, even more athletes will get to experience the joy of sports through the programs of Special Olympics Florida.
