Hello Team Phoenix families and friends!

Special Olympics and Aquatica are hosting a fundraising event for all of the Special Olympics athletes in the state of Florida.  They will be hosting a Polar Plunge at the waterpark on February 14th.  During this event, all participants will be running into a VERY cold wave pool for a VERY good cause!  All of the proceeds go straight to Special Olympics Florida and help support all of the athletes and events throughout each year!

I have been teaching Adaptive PE at Discovery for 15 years now, and we have had students participating in Special Olympics every one!  It means so much to them and to the hundreds of athletes we see at each event!  Special Olympics depends on these donations to keep the events running every year, so I promise it will be put to good use!

I have two different opportunities for you:

1. Join our team!  I'd love to have some of the students and families come out and join me that morning!  We have registered as a school, so anyone is welcome to join and come plunge with me.  Please just sign up as a plunger on our team page, so I can keep track of who all is planning on joining!

2. If you are not interested in plunging, I would be very appreciative for any donations made to the team!  I plan on being there no matter what, so you can make a donation to me specifically, and it will all go to our team and to Special Olympics.
