Welcome to My Plunger Portal!
Special Olympics hold an event throughout the country called the "Polar Plunge" to raise money to support athletes in future sporting events through the year. The money raised goes towards the athlete’s uniforms, travel, hotel stays, food and more. This year I am participating in the 2020 Polar Plunge at Adventure Island in Tampa, Fl.
Hi, I am Dallas Bridges and this is my story with Special Olympics. This year I am participating in the 2020 Polar Plunge. This event is held at Adventure Island on March 21st. The money raised, supports my entry into the event and helps the athletes participate in more Special Olympics events throughout the year. My story begins in 2015 when I was introduced to Special Olympics through Plant City high school. In 2017 I began to participate in the Polar Plunge. Later in the year, I joined the bowling team and continue to partake in different events in 2018 and 2019. December 2018, my partner and I conquered going to state competition in Orlando, Fl where we placed second for the three lanes we were bowling with. On February 8th, 2019 I danced the night away with my buddy at the Night to Shine for the second year. Later in March I joined Hillsborough County at the Polar Plunge for my third year, where I raised $1,405 for the athletes. At the time of the event, I was awarded the “Top Fundraising Individual” plaque. This is my story and I would love for you to be a part of it.
Last year I was able to triple my goal and raise $1,405. My 2020 goal is to raise $2,500 for these amazing individuals. If you would like to donate you can do so through this website or you can contact me directly at (813) 716 – 9762.
