Welcome to Amy's Angels!
Thanks so much for supporting me in the Special Olympics Florida Race for Inclusion!
I have been participating in Special Olympics for 20 years. I have won bronze and gold medals in swimming at National Games and I am an Athlete Leader and Health Messenger. Special Olympics has given me confidence to get a job, make friends, speak in public and raise awareness of the many things people with intellectual disabilities (ID) can accomplish. I am lucky that I have been included in my community, but that is not the case for many people with ID. By supporting me in this inclusion revolution we can end descrimination against people with ID.
My team, Amy’s Angels is named after my special friend Amy who passed away last year from Covid. Like me, Amy had Down Syndrome. People with Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities are much more susceptible to illness than the general population yet they have less access to quality healthcare.
We need to create a society that demands respect and acceptance for everyone. Your generosity makes that possible and helps Special Olympics athletes live richer, fuller lives.
Click the DONATE NOW button in upper right to help me reach my goal! And feel free to leave a note on my page telling me why you’re a Champion for inclusion!
