Lucky's Lake Swimmers

Dear Lucky's Lake Swimmers,

Thank you for joining our efforts to raise funds for Special Olympics Florida - Race for Inclusion!
We will have the Race for Inclusion swim on Saturday, Sept 11, 2021, during Lucky's Lake swim at 7:45 am. You will be joined by several local and statewide Special Olympic swimmers and press. Everyone that registers, completes the swim, and makes a donation to Special Olympics Florida will receive an exclusive patch. If you raise $100 or more, you will receive a Race for Inclusion t-shirt. Special Olympics team members will provide patches on the day of the swim.

Lucky's Lake Swim has always had long-standing ties with Special Olympics. The volunteer coaches of the Orange County Special Olympics swim team has been lake swimmers. Lucky himself coached the team for 25 years. Lucky's Lake Swim hosts several events every year that include a Special Olympics division. Gregg Dedic, a member of our 1000K club, is a Special Olympian. Chris Nikic, the first Special Olympian to do an Ironman, did his first open water swim at Lucky's Lake Swim. Additionally, Lucky's Lake Swim will be the host site in 2022 for the first Open Water Swim at the USA Games.
