Volunteers are the backbone of Special Olympics Florida Polar Plunge. We rely on volunteers to make our events happen and to help us provide a great experience for our Plungers.
We are always recruiting for two types of volunteers:
- 'Day-of' Volunteers - who assist with tasks such as registration, crowd control, and incentive distribution on the day of Polar Plunge
- 'Year-round' Volunteers - who take on a leadership position within the Volunteer Leadership Team [aka 'Committee'] and assist with planning, marketing, and fundraising for Polar Plunge.
Registration and Incentive Distribution Volunteers: 6:30AM - 9:00AM
Merchandise Sales: 7:00AM - 10:00AM
Logistics Volunteers: 7:30AM - 10:00AM (help direct plungers inside the park to the event area, gather plungers for group photo and keep participants in event area until after all teams have plunged)
For more information on these positions, contact Kristine Aristide.
