Special Olympics Florida Inc uses sports as a platform to unite people with intellectual disabilities with the rest of the community. It promotes inclusion and a real social movement – not only through sports and competition, but also by providing health screenings, leadership opportunities and skill-building for all athletes at no cost to them.
So, by volunteering, you’d be a part a 33,000 strong group that is growing and whose effects will continue for years to come. You’ll be a part of something that will better the lives of people with intellectual disabilities in an immediate way.
When to volunteer?
There are a variety of Race for Inclusion opportunities throughout the state. Volunteers have the opportunity to sign up to help with registration, water stations, food, directions and cheering at the finish line.
