Volunteer Opportunities

Why volunteer?

Special Olympics Florida Inc uses sports as a platform to unite people with intellectual disabilities with the rest of the community. It promotes inclusion and a real social movement – not only through sports and competition, but also by providing health screenings, leadership opportunities and skill-building for all athletes at no cost to them.

So, by volunteering, you’d be a part a 33,000 strong group that is growing and whose effects will continue for years to come. You’ll be a part of something that will better the lives of people with intellectual disabilities in an immediate way.

When to volunteer?

There are a variety of Race for Inclusion opportunities throughout the state. Volunteers have the opportunity to sign up to help with registration, water stations, food, directions and cheering at the finish line. Check back here for more information in September.
